Plant beans in full sun 1 to 2" deep and 2 to 3' apart. It is best to plant the beans in early spring, once the danger of frost has passed and the soil temperature is at least 60 F. For best results, coat the seeds with bean and pea inoculate before planting. Plant in hills spaced 30 to 36" apart. Make sure that you do not plant too early, as overly cool and wet soil may lead the seeds to rot. Once the bush beans start to produce, they come in all at once.
