Planting Instructions
To ensure fruitful results when growing your Honeydew Melon Seeds:
- Plant in a sunny location with rich, well-draining soil.
- Start indoors by sowing seeds 1/2 inch deep in flats or cells, 4 weeks prior to the last expected frost. Maintain a soil warmth of around 70°F or above.
- Once the temperature rises and soil reaches approximately 65°F, transition outdoors.
- Arrange transplants in rows 4 to 6 feet apart, spacing each 2 to 3 feet apart.
Harvesting Instructions
- The Honeydew Melon typically ripens in about 75 to 85 days, identifiable by their waxy, smooth exterior and subtle fruity aroma.
- Check readiness for harvest by applying slight pressure on the skin - if the melon offers a little give, it's ready to pick.
- Utilize garden shears to cut the stems from the plant, ensuring you avoid pulling.
